About Me

Hello! My name is Jake Bontkowski. I am a UI/UX designer with a Cybersecurity concentration. My skillset enables me to help people in all sorts of unique ways! I love design, and I am incredibly passionate about my work. I know that empathy and usability are cornerstones in my approach to design, and necessary for facilitating outstanding solutions today.

I graduated from Bradley University in 2023 with a Bachelors of Science in User Experience Design (UI/UX) and a minor in Cybersecurity. Shortly after, I achieved CompTIA Security+ ce Certification. I have 4 years of relevant design experience and I am always seeking opportunities to contribute to the next great thing!

Some Notable Achievements:

  • Lead the UX team through development of CannonBrawl for an interactive media exhibit at the Peoria, IL Riverfront Museum
  • CannonBrawl’s success won us “The Volition Design Award for Galactic Excellence” at the interactive media event Fuse 2022
  • Facilitated communications and efforts as the liaison for the physical and individual teams in a successful double-blind penetration test
  • Received a presidential scholarship on the basis of academic excellence 
  • Worked alongside talented designers from both Caterpillar and OSF Healthcare
